He attended WSU College of Pharmacy and graduated in 2013 with his Doctorate of Pharmacy. Tyler married his wife Amy in August of 2014 before taking a position at Vashon Pharmacy in October of 2014. Tyler and Amy moved to the island in March of 2015 and have welcomed 3 daughters to their family since. Tyler and Amy purchased the store in 2017 and are enjoying the small town lifestyle much like where they grew up. In his spare time Tyler loves to golf and is an avid sports fan. He especially enjoys watching his alma mater Washington State.
Steve Bird, Pharmacist
Steve was born in London and raised in the bay area of California. Following high school Steve attended UC Davis before attending the prestigious UC San Francisco College of Pharmacy. Steve began his pharmacy career working for the UCLA medical system before moving to the Seattle area in 1987. It was then that Steve accepted a job with the University of Washington health system where he worked in a variety of pharmaceutical positions including staff pharmacy and managerial positions over his 23 year career. In 2002 Steve moved with his wife Lisa and their three children to Vashon where he continued his career with the University of Washington. After 9 years of commuting by bike Steve decided he wanted to spend more time at home. Much to Steve’s surprise and excitement Vashon Pharmacy had a position available and he began working for Vashon Pharmacy in 2011. Steve calls it his “best career move ever”. Steve loves spending time with his family and spends his spare time hiking, birding, and on the road as an avid cyclist.
