Vaccine Registration Status: Closed
Please check back here periodically as we will open registration as vaccine becomes available.
Registration is closed for now. We hope to open again later in the week. Please check back here for details.
We now have an End-Of-Day Waitlist for vaccine that is left over each day from no-show appointments. The pharmacy will call people on the list as extra doses are available.
Only a Meager Supply: It’s fantastic that the vaccine is here and we love providing it to our island community. However, please understand that we are receiving only limited quantities of vaccine. We are dispensing them as rapidly as possible while complying with state Department of Health requirements.
Our Appointment Commitment: Vashon Pharmacy promises that we will only open the appointment calendar when we can be sure that more vaccine doses are arriving. When we make a vaccination appointment with you, we understand that you are relying on our commitment. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing from week to week how many doses we will receive from the state allocation system, if any. We can’t vaccinate you if we do not have any vaccine.
Appointment Mandatory: Please do not come to the vaccination site without an appointment. Appointments are the only way we can keep the line moving and vaccinate as many of our Vashon neighbors as possible, as quickly as possible. An appointment is absolutely mandatory.
No Special Treatment: Dozens of times a day we get calls and emails from people who believe they should be next in line for a vaccination. Teachers want to get back to the classroom. Families want to protect grandparents. Essential workers want to feel safe at their jobs. We get it. But we can’t give anyone special treatment. Everyone in the current state-mandated eligibility phase has an equal shot at making one of our appointments. If we give people special treatment, we might get cut off and have no vaccine and that would be a tragedy for Vashon. We eagerly look forward to the day when we can get enough vaccine to protect everyone who wants it.
